HandyCon aims to ensure that all online spaces related to the convention, including our website and members area, are respectful, inclusive, and welcoming. By using these platforms, you agree to adhere to the following guidelines, which support a positive and safe digital environment for everyone.

  • All communication within the website and members area should be courteous and respectful. This includes:

    • Using appropriate language free from offensive, derogatory, or inflammatory remarks.

    • Respecting differing opinions and perspectives, especially around gaming topics.

    • Refraining from any behaviour that could be considered bullying, harassment, or otherwise disruptive to the community.

  • We ask that all members respect others’ privacy by:

    • Not sharing any personal or sensitive information about other users without their consent.

    • Reporting any suspicious activity to HandyCon staff immediately.

  • Just as we aim for a harassment-free convention environment, we expect all users of our website and members area to behave responsibly and considerately. Harassment in any form, including abusive messages, unsolicited attention, and disrespectful behaviour, is strictly prohibited. Please refer to our Anti-Harassment Policy for guidance on expected conduct and report any concerns directly to HandyCon staff.

  • The content within the HandyCon website and members area, including text, images, and multimedia, is provided to enhance the community experience and support your enjoyment of the convention. We ask that users:

    • Appropriate Imagery: Only post images that are suitable for all audiences and aligned with HandyCon’s values. Offensive, explicit, or inappropriate images are not allowed.

    • Privacy Respect: Do not upload images of other attendees or users without their permission. Group photos or identifiable images of individuals require their consent before posting.

    • Non-Commercial Use: Images shared on HandyCon’s website or members area are for community enjoyment only. Refrain from using or distributing them for commercial purposes or outside the HandyCon community without permission.

    • Copyright Compliance: Only share images or content that you own or have permission to share. Avoid posting images from third-party sources unless you have verified the right to do so.

    • Avoid sharing HandyCon members’ content or images outside the HandyCon community without permission.

    • Report any issues with content, images, or inappropriate material to HandyCon staff promptly.

  • Violating these policies may lead to:

    • A warning issued by HandyCon staff.

    • Temporary or permanent suspension from the website or members area.

    • A ban from future HandyCon events if serious breaches occur.

    • Reporting to authorities if any unlawful behaviour is involved.
